"Grease" is performed often as a tradition of the department due to demand of the community, students, and alumni! Being very popular at the box office, THS "Grease" ticket sales have purchased 15 headset mic systems, the black scrim curtain used in every production, many auditorium lights including all lighting for the pit, and funded the construction of several large reusable set pieces used by all plays.
Andrew Fitch, THS musical actor 1986-89/THS Band drum major 1988-89, has appeared on Broadway in "Spamalot", "Waitress", "Chicago", "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", and was a member of the Tony Award winning cast of "Pippin". He was also a member of national touring companies of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Billy Elliott" among others.
Ramon Wodkowski, THS pit orchestra 1991-93, was a pit orchestra clarinetist for "Les Miserables" in London's West End Queen's Theatre.
Recent THS musical theater alumni have continued acting study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC and Los Angeles, University of Cincinnati, Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater, Oklahoma City College, and at many other state, regional, and national universities and theater companies.
