Fine job on Monday for the Rotary Club at noon and at the Solstice concert that evening. Great work for a class that only just started on the Monday after Thanksgiving!

Great night of some great talent. That's how you put twenty four different pieces of music ranging from a 160 piece concert band, 60 member choir, a color guard, brass ensemble, jazz ensemble, dance and vocal soloists, and various other musical acts into an hour and 45 minutes! I'm proud of you all.
Dear Band Family:
Recently, a freshmen member of our band family, Abby Zettlemoyer, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. To help the family during this difficult time, the Band Boosters will be taking donations of gift cards. Suggested gift cards include gas and common restaurants to help with travel expenses connected with care, Barnes & Nobles (Abby's a reader), grocery stores, etc. Donations can be made at the Winter Solstice Band Concert on December 17. There will be a donation bucket set up at the Band Boosters table. Any cash received will be converted into gift cards. We appreciate any donation you would like to make. Most of all, please keep the family and Abby in your prayers. Trenton Band Boosters Grace Krawczyk, THS Class of 2018, earned one of the lead roles in Concordia University's spring musical, "Little Women: The Broadway Musical" which will play in Ann Arbor's Kreft Center for the Arts April 11-14, 2019. She will be playing the role of Beth March, one of the four March sisters that the story revolves around. Congrats to Grace!

Concert Band, Chorus, Jazz Band plus student talent including dance ensembles, small instrumental groups, soloists, and more. 2018 marks the 28th Solstice event. Dress for all: Holiday colors OK! No shorts, sneakers, silly clothing, hats, or anything that wouldn't be appropriate for any other school concert. Dress nice but doesn't have to be black and white for this event. *This isn't the "lets have fun!" band camp talent show - this is a showcase for hard work, private lessons, and Mr. K approved acts. FYI - AMS 7th and 8th grade bands concert is Wednesday, Dec 12 at 7pm in the THS Auditorium These 12 THS Band students donated three hours of their time on Friday, Nov 30 to travel with the Rotary Club to restaurants and clubs around the Downriver area to collect more than $1200 in donations for families in need. We are proud of you!
It rained on the Trenton Christmas Parade! Thank you to all the great responsible THS Marching Band students who turned out in the rain on Saturday night. Your efforts are appreciated and will be remembered. Wet photos below.
