5 pm Report to band room 5:30pm Move to parade start 6pm Homecoming parade 6:45 Pre-game 7pm Game *halftime will be queen's crowning ceremony POST-GAME: Full run of "South of the Border" including premier of lights out finale Tuesday, Oct 1
4 pm Uniform distribution begins / truck loads 5 pm Load buses in full uniform (same way we did it for Chelsea) Arrive/warm up 6:30pm Performance 6:45pm Class C and Class B awards Load buses immediately afterward and back at Trenton HS approx. 7:30pm *We leave after first awards ceremony Full event schedule: 5pm - National Anthem (Wilson Middle School - band director, Mary Day, former THS drum major and mother of Chance and Forester Day) Class C: 5:15 - Riverview 5:30 - Flat Rock 5:45 - Westland - John Glenn Class B: 6:00 - SCS - Lakeview 6:15 - Dearborn - Crestwood 6:30 - Trenton 6:45 - Class B & C Awards 7:15 - Lincoln Park 7:30 - Taylor 7:45 - Woodhaven (comments only) Break 8:15 - Gibraltar - Carlson 8:30 - Southgate-Anderson 8:45 - Wyandotte 9:15 - Class A Awards The plan was to return by 9:45 pm but it ended up being 10:30 due to on-site delays and and extended performance by the (very good) U of Toledo Band tonight at Chelsea. The kids presented themselves, their city, and their school so well in Chelsea.. I am so proud of them. Their performances was first class as was their deportment all night long.
But again, I apologize for the lateness. The late end to the event was as much a surprise to me as anything. MON ( Sept 23rd) Practice (6pm to 8pm)
WED (Sept 25th) Chelsea Band Invitational SCHEDULE: 3 pm Uniform distribution begins. We will wear our uniforms on the bus/ no changing 3:30 pm Truck loading - drumline, pit, large cased instruments 4:15 pm Buses LEAVE promptly. Flutes, clarinets, trumpets, mellos, altos, baritones will have instruments in hand with them on the bus 5:45 pm Approx arrival at Chelsea HS / unload and to warm ups immediately 6:30 pm Performance / load truck immediately afterward 7 pm In the stands to watch several bands 8:30 pm Load buses for return 9:30 pm Back at THS approx time / return uniforms / unload FRI (Sept 27th) MONEY DUE for CEDAR POINT TRIP on October 12. See posting below for more info and form Everyone - congratulations on a great day. It was hot and it rained for 10 minutes but it was a great success. Today's band run was the best of the season so far. Time to relax and bit before Monday's practice then Wednesday's road show at Chelsea HS! The band traveled to Anderson Elementary school today to participate in their annual Constitution Day ceremony where we performed the National Anthem, the opener to our fall show, and the THS Fight Song which the little ones really seemed to enjoy. : ) MON ( Sept 16th) Practice (6pm to 8pm)
