kurilkom@trentonschools.com Student emails will NOT be accepted. If you know of any upcoming absences, especially on a performance day, PLEASE email me ASAP. Thank you to all of the volunteer chaperones, drivers, medical staff and pit crew that made Band Camp 2019 a success!
Practice Continues Monday August 19th, 600pm-800pm at the THS Practice Field. I am going to give daily camp updates with photos and videos on the THS Band 2019-2020 Facebook page as it's a lot easier to do so from my phone at band camp than updating this website via cell phone as I have discovered.
After camp, I will again update both the website and connect it with facebook as per usual. Sorry for the inconvenience if you are not a facebook user. Precamp 2019 was a great success! Great weather, great participation, great work done. We are ready to go to camp and hit the ground running when we get there.
I am going to update the website News blog and facebook each day at camp in the evening so that you can see and hear progress. This is assuming that I can get online to do so (always an adventure when we are at camp to find service). Look for photos, updates, videos, and information. Also: If your student is going to miss a PERFORMANCE this season, I need to know ASAP which one so that I can prepare several weeks in advance. Please EMAIL me with the subject in this format: Jane Doe to miss Oct 1 with correct name and date of course. Here's a few photos of day #4: Moving along! We set the first few pages of drill today. That's always great to do as it makes the first day of drill practice at camp so much easier and quicker. Don't forget tonight's Band Camp 2019 meeting at 7 pm at the Westfield Center!
The Trenton Band Invitational will be on Saturday September 21. This is the Band Boosters' largest fundraiser and we need everyone's support. One easy way is to sell an ad for the band program. We are asking each band family to sell at least one ad. Below is the flyer you can drop off at your hairstylist, party store, dentist, favorite restaurant, etc. Every business needs publicity, why not reach approximately 4500 people on a single Saturday afternoon? For more information you can contact Kristin Zanetti at kzanetti@ford.com. Don't feel like going to a business? You can also sell personal ads, a brief message to someone performing or who you know will be reading the program. A flyer for the personal ads is also below; for more information contact Bonnie Forrest at bonniemforrest@gmail.com ![]()
