7Hey everyone! It's starting to feel like it's time for band camp. The weather, the skies, the sunlight, the excitement.....just seems like band camp.
Here's what you will need for pre-camp week:
1. Your instrument - if you play a school instrument, we've got it ready
2. SNEAKERS - no flip flops, bare feet, or sandals.
3. Set book - if you don't have one on Monday, that's fine because we won't be using
them until Tuesday. A set book is one of those small spiral notebooks that you will
put a shoelace or lanyard on to be able to sling it around your neck plus a pen or
pencil that you can hook to it in order to write your sets in. We will learn how to do
that on Tuesday
I will have copies of all of the show music and other music if you haven't gotten (or lost) your set of music.
Our precamp week schedule:
Monday through Thursday, August 5-8 9 am til noon each day plus
Wednesday, Aug 7 @ 7 pm BAND CAMP MEETING at Westfield Center
Hello all! I hope you are all having a great summer so far. I have been looking in on drumline and color guard practices and things are going great.
Seg 1 drill is done and uploaded to parts page on this website. I DO NOT HAVE INDIVIDUAL SPOTS ASSIGNED YET - don't do set books until that happens.
I received the parts, score, and mp3 for segment 3 which I put up on the parts page on this website. Segment 4 will be ready by the end of the month.
Drill is being written. Seg 1 is done and segs 2+3 will be ready by the beginning of August.
New bond instruments are being delivered to the district every day! It's going to be fun trying all of the new stuff out.
We are still in need of a good electric keyboard for August through October. I am able to purchase one but if we have one in the band family that is available to borrow, I'd rather do that. It needs at least 70 keys (weighted) and have multiple voices including a nylon string acoustic guitar voice. If you have anything like that that you are willing to loan, let me know ASAP.

Band Camp Pre-Camp Meeting: MANDATORY: Wednesday August 7 at 700pm at the Westfield Center. Camper and at least one parent/guardian must attend.
Pre-Camp Practices: August 5-8 at THS; 900am-1200pm
Band Camp: August 11-16 at Skyline Camp, Almont MI
First Home Game and Pre-Game Band Tailgate: Thursday August 29 at the Auditorium entrance. Tailgate at 530pm, Game at 700pm.
September Band Boosters Meeting: Monday September 9 at 630pm - Trojan Cafe inside THS
