Announcements 11/28:
- December 3 - Trenton Christmas Parade: Saturday, 12/3. Call time is 5pm (warm up and review music). Band students will meet at West Jefferson and Cherry St (I'm still waiting on the exact spot to lineup - should know by Thursday). The parade route starts at Cherry St and heads South down West Jefferson and ends at Maple Street.
The parade starts at 6 pm. Dress code is Trenton gear (varsity jackets, hoodies, etc. and jeans). Dress for the weather - it will be chilly. Take your instrument and lyre home on Friday!

- December 5 - BWW Fundraiser - Come out to support the band at Buffalo Wild Wings (Trenton). Unfortunately, our varsity letters that are being ordered will not be delivered on time for this event. However - I will announce the show for next year that evening at 7 pm. Please come out to support the band and learn about details for next year! Please show flyer (below) upon your carry out/dine in order.

- December 6 - Poinsettia/Wreath order pick up

- December 13 - Winter Solstice Concert, 7pm THS Auditorium

- December 14 - Trenton Bands Booster Meeting - 6:30 pm THS Band Room

Here are your announcements for 11/21:

Poinsettia/Wreath Fundraiser Update: Order Pick up will be TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6. This is different from what was originally communicated. Times TBD.
Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser: Come celebrate the end of marching band with us at Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday, December 5! BWW has agreed to support our fundraiser all day on any food order (dine in or carry out). Must show manager BWW ticket for band to get credit.
1. I will be there from 6-8pm. I will start handing out Varsity Letters/Chevrons at 7pm and am planning on announcing next years show at 7:30/8pm. I hope you are able to attend!
Trenton Christmas Parade (Saturday, Dec. 3): Call Time for the Trenton Christmas Parade is 5pm. Students will meet in downtown Trenton (not at THS). We will meet, warm up, rehearse briefly and start the parade at 6pm. Exact meetup location TBA.
1. Marching band students will get music next week and rehearse in class. No after school rehearsal for this.
Next Booster Meeting: Wednesday, December 14 at 6:30pm in the THS Band Room. A "Call for Agenda Items" will be sent out as we get closer to the meeting.
Website Update: Information on our Trenton Band Boosters website is always updating and changing. Please use this excellent resource to find any information you need (updates, calendar, future marching band info, etc).

Announcements 11/14

Here are your announcements for 11/14:

Marching Band:
- Football is done! Unfortunately, our Trenton Football Team lost last week which means our playoff run is done. Next up on our agenda is the Trenton Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3. We will likely have a call time of 5pm and the parade starts at 6pm. Details to follow.
- 2023 Calendar:
  - Now that we have our new band camp location solidified, our calendar for next year is starting to take shape. Please take a look at the calendar for full details and plan accordingly around rehearsals. Our best rehearsals happen when we have as many students participating as possible. Here are some highlights:
    - June/July - Percussion/Guard Sectionals
    - Pre Camp: August 7 - August 10 9am - 5pm
    - Band Camp: (YMCA Storer): August 13 - August 18
    - After School Rehearsals: Mondays/Wednesdays 6-8pm
    - Saturday, September 9: Trenton Marching Band Rehearsal (Finish Drill) 9am - 1pm
    - Competitions: Schedules have not been released, however I have put "placeholders" on the calendar for when we *could* have competitions. As soon as Scholastic Marching Band releases the schedule, I will update the calendar accordingly. Please plan on 4 competitions (including Trenton Invite, Downriver Fanfare and Gibraltar Spectacular and one more TBD).
    - Trenton Homecoming: Details TBD (Dates have not been decided)
    - Football Games: TBD (MHSAA has not released schedule)
- Trenton Bands Spirit Wear:
  - Order forms for Trenton Bands Spirit Wear are available in the band room as well as attached to this email. Orders are due Friday, November 18 (Checks made to Trenton Band Boosters or exact cash please).
- Poinsettia/Wreath Fundraiser:
  - Order forms are due TODAY. Checks need to be made out to Trenton Band Boosters. Orders can be dropped off to Stacy Gajewski from 6-7pm or she has offered the option of dropping them off in her mailbox. Please reach out to her (direct message through Facebook) for her address.
  - Orders will be delivered Monday, December 5. Details TBA
- Sock Fundraiser:

Good Morning Trenton Band Families,

Here are announcements for this week - 11/7:

Tuesday, Nov. 8 - NO JAZZ BAND.
Wednesday, Nov. 9 -
1. We will have Jazz Band Rehearsal (5:30-6:30pm). If you are in Jazz Band - please bring your concert black clothes to change into for the concert.
2. FALL CONCERT:
  1. Dress Code = Concert Black. Please check the syllabus if you are not sure what concert black is.
  2. CALL TIME: 6:30PM, Concert will start at 7pm in the THS Auditorium
  3. Here is the program for the concert. There will also be flyers in the auditorium to access the Digital Program. Flyer is attached to this email as well!
Friday, Nov. 11 -
1. Trenton Football v. Mason HS (Regional Playoff Game - at THS):
  1. We are HOSTING this game.
  2. Call time is 5:30pm (no uniform), Warm Up at 6pm, Anthem at 6:45pm.
  3. Unless you have an athletics conflict, please make every effort to be at this game. I received MANY emails/messages/calls about how much the community appreciated our support at the game last Friday. Let's keep it going!
Monday, Nov. 14 -
1. Poinsettia/Wreath Fundraiser Orders Due!
  1. Stacy Gajewski will be collecting orders on Monday, Nov. 14 from 6-7pm outside the band room. Order forms are attached!
  2. Delivery will be Monday Dec. 6 OR Tuesday Dec. 7.
