3One final week of practice until school starts! The first public performance of "Bewitched" at the halftime of Thursday night's Varsity Football Game.
Monday 8/30: Practice 600pm-800pm on the Stadium Field Wednesday 9/1: Practice 600pm-830pm on the Stadium Field Thursday 9/2: 600pm: Report to THS for pre-game prep. Meeting location To Be Announced at Practice Wednesday, due to ongoing construction. 645pm: March to field for pre-game festivities and National Anthem. 700pm: Kick-off THS Football vs Southgate Anderson; THS Band performs at Halftime. Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend! First Day of School is September 7 and first practice after the holiday weekend is Wednesday September 8. The Band Boosters held two fundraisers this week. Thank you to all who participated to support the band! On Tuesday the Rockwood A&W hosted our staff and 20% of the proceeds and all tips went to the band. Over $1000 was raised for the band! On Saturday, the boosters hosted their first golf outing.. 38 golfers braved the heat & humidity to tee off and congratulations to the winning foursome: Johnny Pauli, John Pauli, Ralph Torma and Doug Korbal who shot an 11-under par 61 for the afternoon. Thank you to our hole sponsors: Trenton Trib, the Clarinet section, the Saxophone section, Band Booster Alumni Club, Kerr Pump & Supply, Target Steel, On Your Side Family Services, Howey & Associates Insurance, Lisa Kinney GAP Realty, the Burns Family, the Felty Family and Gale Loger. Over $2600 was raised for the band!  One more week closer to our first on-field performance at the home football game on Thursday 9/2. See below for this week's schedule of events.

Wednesday 8/25: Practice 600pm-800pm on the Practice Field Saturday 8/28: Band Boosters Golf Outing, 200pm at Wesburn Golf Club. Have a great week! We are still in need of more volunteers for the first aid tents for the band invitational on September 25. We are asking for anyone with medical experience: nurses, paramedics, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, fire fighters, and parents comfortable with first aid that are willing to assist.

This fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, August 24th from 4:30 to 7:30pm at the A&W in Rockwood. Staff and students will be taking orders from you and 15% of all profits and tips go to the band. Please see the attached flyer for more details. This fundraiser is being held to raise money for new drumline equipment. The wood along some of the marching band drums has become warped, which results in drum heads warping and incorrect tuning. In addition, harnesses are losing their padding and becoming uncomfortable for students. Drums are an expensive cost, but are starting to become a need for the drumline and its success.
