Hello all - 
As we head into 2020, I want to keep everyone updated as to what's going on in the music department.  

We have been working on the spring musical, "Mama Mia!" since school started back up in January after break.  Furthermore, many students are preparing for the MSBOA District 12 Solo and Ensemble festival which will be held on Saturday, Feb 1.  

In February, we will have the 2nd trimester music department concert on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 pm.  It will consist of concert band, chorus, and solo/ensemble participants.  This is our more formal concert - dress will be white/black.  

March is spring musical performance month.  Check the spring musical page on this website for dates and times.  State solo/ensemble festival also occurs on Saturday, March 14 at South Lyon HS for those who qualified with a superior rating at district festival.  

Tuesday, March 31 is the Jazz Clinic at Carlson HS which the THS Jazz Band will attend.  The jazz band will also be travelling to Royal Oak HS on Saturday, April 18 for the MSBOA State Jazz Festival.  A THS jazz combo will also be performing.   Later in April, the Jazz Cafe event occurs on Monday, April 27.  

I have been busy recruiting for the 2020 THS Marching Band.  My show designers and I have also been working out plans and ideas for our "Bewitched" show this fall.  It's going to be a good one!
