Announcements 3/23/2023:

Jazz Cafe:
- Jazz Cafe will be held on April 13 at the Westfield Center. We will have the Arthurs MS Jazz Band, Trenton HS Jazz Band, and select students groups performing. Start time is 7 pm.
2023 Marching Band Calendar: Please check the "Calendar" tab or click the calendar link below and check the rehearsal calendar. Marching Band activities will start up after Spring Break and are scheduled through the summer (Guard/Drum line) and full Marching Band activities will start in August. Please make every effort to plan appointments, trips, etc. around rehearsal times. The calendar now includes all rehearsals, competitions, football games and dates. When new dates are added, I will notify as needed (football playoffs, assemblies, pep rallies, etc).
Marching Band Registration:
- Please fill out the form: https://forms.gle/ixoXouYpmf3bbygq7. Payments can be mailed to the Trenton Band Boosters at PO Box 323 Trenton, MI 48183. The payment schedule is: March 31 ($105), April; 30 ($105) and May 31 ($105). Please send an email to Mr. Wolf with any questions or concerns. If you (or a friend) have not signed up for marching band, it is NOT too late! We would love for you to join us.

Color Guard Meetings/Clinics (NEW & RETURNING MEMBERS)
- Clinic - April 6, 5-8 pm (THS Band Room)
- Auditions - April 11, 3-6 pm (THS Band Room)
- Summer Sectionals: TBD (They will be held, just need to be scheduled)
- **If you or your students have a friend that is not in band, encourage them to join color guard! The color guard is open to ALL AMS 8th Graders and 9-12 Trenton High students. **
Marching Percussion Clinics/Auditions (NEW & RETURNING MEMBERS):
- Clinics (THS Band Room): April 3 (3-5 pm), April 24 (3-5 pm), April 27 (3-5 pm), May 1 (3-5 pm), May 3 (3-5 pm)
- Auditions (THS Band Room): May 8 & 10 (3-5 pm)
- Rehearsals:
  - Spring - Mondays/Wednesdays 3-5 pm
  - Summer - Monday/Wednesdays
    - Front Ensemble: 3-5 pm
    - Drumline: 5:30 - 8 pm
Marching Band (NEW & RETURNING MEMBERS):
- Memorial Day Parade (Required Performance):
  - Rehearsal:
    - During Class (This is a change from what was originally announced . Music will be posted on website for students not in band class to practice for parade).
  - Parade:
    - Saturday, May 27
      - 9 am Call Time (Band Room, We will then walk to West/Westfield for Parade)
      - 10 am Start

Marching Band Leadership:
- The 2023 Trenton Marching Band leadership application has been posted on BANDapp. If your student has mentioned being interested in becoming a section leader or drum major, encourage them to submit an application and sign up for an interview spot! All other details are on BANDapp.

Trenton Band Boosters Elections: We are accepting nominations for our Trenton Band Boosters Board. These roles are critical in continuing and improving the experiences your students have with the Trenton Bands. We are accepting nominations for President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Publicity Chairperson and Fundraising. Any nominations (or self nominations) can be emailed to trentonbandboosters1@gmail.com.
Trenton Band Boosters Comedy Show: We will be hosting a comedy show fundraiser on March 11, 2023 at Parkside Gardens (please see flyer below). Tickets to the show are $20. There are limited tickets available so please secure your tickets!

Band Banquet: Please join us in the THS Cafeteria tomorrow for our 2022 Marching Band Banquet. We will celebrate the season ending with speeches, awards and food! Banquet starts at 7pm in the THS Cafeteria.
